My Speech

I think that the Russian athletes should have been banned from the Olympic Games because of their drug cheating.  Too many athletes have worked too hard to be beaten by cheats and to have their glory taken away.    

Russian athletes should have be banned from Rio because they are cheating and they are trying to go for gold. Russia always win the olympics because they have taken drugs that make them faster, stronger and fitter.

Russia always wins the sprints and they are cheating in the sprints and it is not fair on the other athletes who have not cheated. Other athletes work really hard to be good without taking drugs, so it is not fair that Russia can come and beat them and win the medals.  

Last time at the Olympics athletes missed out on medals because of cheating Russians. Valerie Adams should have got a gold medal but a lady who cheated with drugs got it instead. When they got the drug tests back the lady was disqualified, but Valerie Adams didn’t get to stand on the podium in front of everybody  and get the national anthem played, instead she just got her medal in the post months later. If that happened to me I would feel sad and angry. 

It doesn’t matter now whether the Russian athletes are drug cheats or they are clean, every time a Russian athlete wins a medal everybody looks at them and wonders if they have cheated. I think that it would have been easier if all Russians had stayed at home.

Cheating at the Olympics is never OK and the Russians have proved that most of them cheat. It isn’t fair to the other athletes if there are cheats in the sports. I think that all of the Russian athletes should have been banned.

• To use good eye contact with my audience and stand confidently when I present my speech
• To learn my 7,8,9,and 12 time tables off by heart.
• To participate really well in our class dance night.
• To get fitter, faster and run further in our cross county training.

My Swimming Goal

Hide and seek

I can felt the bushes prickle me and my friends. I was running for my life. I was puffing. When Shannon me found I would die. I was going to hide under the cottage but people weren’t letting me come under the kindergarten. I thought that people had already been found. I smell sand waiting to be used by kindergarten kids who go some days. I felt bushes that scratched,  that kids were getting scared from. I felt grass touching me on my shoes as I was walking.

On Thursday we had a visit from 5 Otago rugby players . They showed us some fun game to help our rugby skills.
