The mystery

Sitting on my chair not knowing what was going to happen. I was excited because it could have been anything. When I was sitting down it was like a herd of cattle passing by because they were all wondering what it was.

Finally, we got to touch it.  The inside felt like slime. Everyone was screaming when Miss Taylor said you have to eat it now. I thought to myself “I am not eating that” Gross!

I saw something curved with the hard bit at the bottom. I ate it  because I knew what it was. The taste raised on my tastes buds and the juicy feeling hit my tongue.

It was yellow and sour. It was a lemon.

Real life super heroes

This term we have been focusing on real life superheroes. First we had to think about who is a super hero. I picked Tom Cruise. Then we had to come up with 3 burning questions and answer them by researching.

Metaphor Poems


Over the past four weeks Room 7 have been learning how to write effective metaphors. A metaphor is a direct comparison to an object/thing. One activity we did was writing a metaphor poem about ourselves. We had to describe what we were, such as lollies, tree, car, piece of clothing, sandwich and something from our community. We sent one of our metaphors to Kawerau South School in Auckland.
